I have decided to move operations to a different blogging host called Photoposts. While I like Blogger they don't offer a template that is as image focused as I would like.
Photoposts is a free photo blogging service and so far looks very good. Above I have posted a screen shot of my new blog, as you can see the image is already full size so you don't have to open it up in a different window. As a viewer you can also decide if you want to view the image on a light or dark background (top right corner). There is quick access to the archive of my posts, all images appear as thumbnails. Another nice feature is that you can search images by category such as landscape or portrait.
